On Cultural Appropriation vs Appreciation

Growing up in a different culture than what I am racially has challenged me to consider what culture truly means. I explored my assigned topic of cultural appropriation through many different perspectives before focusing on fashion parallels involving the traditional Japanese kimono and modernized styles. This booklet is designed to influence the viewer to simply think about culture rather than being a guide to what is culturally appropriate, as that is not my place to determine.
