STRIPMALL is a hand-sewn clothing brand and photography project that explores Los Angeles landscape, latina/o/e identity, and femininity. As a fourth-generation latino American growing up LA, I am often confronted with a search for a cultural connection to my heritage that has been diluted over time. Dawning bright colors, unconventional fabrics, and inspired by the concept of rasquachismo, STRIPMALL aims to search for and reignite these fragments of cultural identity.
