Java Jazz Festival

Java Jazz Festival is the 3rd largest jazz festival in the world. Blending tradition and jazz music seamlessly, its groove inspired me to translate these musical notes into a visual language that resonates with jazz enthusiasts. Drawing from the progressive era of jazz, the style of the music guides the experience. I want viewers to enjoy and live the music through every touchpoint—the books they read, the screens they watch, and the details woven into every aspect of this event.

By bridging the history of jazz with Indonesia's traditional musical heritage, The Java Jazz visual system creates a lasting bond through.

Learning Outcomes:

I translated the progressive jazz era and Indonesian traditional music concepts into print and spatial design for the event, transforming these ideas into a cohesive visual, textual, and auditory experience.
