The Ancient Guardian (Gestalt - Configuration)
This is project Gestalt - Configuration, the place is "the Great Wall", I named it "the Ancient Guardian". It is 5 by 12 inches, and created with "Procreate". My idea is the dragon and the great wall both are representatives of Chinese tradition, they guarded each other. I add many layers of mountains and erase the bottom part so the background doesn't feel heavy. To bring contrast with the Great Wall, I darkened the color of the mountains and brighten the color and transparency of the dragon.
Learning Outcomes:
Under my instructor Mr. Jon Nguyen's help, I learned that to always consider the spaces for my design, make sure they look balance than chaos, or busy. When a normal canvas cannot fit my idea, I can try to explore with the canvas size to show my idea more. When I create multiple objects in one design under one idea, connect them more but not split them into two things.
