Empathy in Orbit

Empathy in Orbit: Pushing for Human-Centered Design in Space Engineering is a Medium article reflecting on how I fuse my design skills within my aerospace industry career.

Give it a read here! Medium: https://medium.com/artcenter-graduate-interaction-design/human-centered-designing-for-space-missions-d9c1b25b4938

Note: Views expressed in the article are my own and do not represent NASA/JPL-Caltech."

Process:

Typical brainstorming and beat development was employed resonating with a lot I've picked up in past learning! What helped a lot here was to write my concept in one paragraph, then a handful of sentence, then one sentence to really capture what I want to say!

Learning Outcomes:

Surprisingly, this longform writing project was actually one of my favorite experiences in the program - I really enjoyed being able to use that classtime as a space to reflect on my career so far and being able to share my stories with others. This class provided such a welcoming environment for us to express our stories and has inspired me to create spaces where my teams can as well!
