92nd Street Y is an inclusive culture and community center based on Jewish values. We have been building communities since 1874. we share knowledge and enrich the lives of people of diverse races, faiths, and backgrounds by providing culture, arts, entertainment, and conversation. Now we want to embrace the idea of a global community by extending our resources in live webcasts of events, talks and conversations, Online classes, professional programs, and global movements.

Learning Outcomes:

This class taught me how to use the shapes from logo to create meanings with different combinations. For example, I play with patterns and scales in my identity posters series to visualize tagines. And for my content poster series, those shapes are used as connectors to make a whole series as a sequential piece. I also learned to use color for this brand's different departments, which helps people easily find them.

Logo Development This Primary Logo is mainly used for digital content, such as motion, app, or web.

sacred geometry grid The logo I created is founded on ‘sacred geometry,’ an ancient geometric system from which the Star of David was formed. I use the leaf as a metaphor for life.

Color Inspiration by The garden under the blue sky, where all kinds of plants can get nourishment and thrive. The color of the leaves symbolizes the four seasons and is used as a metaphor for each stage of life. The representative colors of Judaism are blue and white. Here we use blue sky and white clouds as a metaphor.

Since 92y embraces diversity in its database of content, in celebrating the diversity of people, I want color should be no different.

I created a diverse color palette, and any combination can work.

Brand Elements I use the leaf shape of lego and use it as a connecter, making patterns with it to metaphor community. and overly it to metaphor diversity.
