ARTIFICE [Book]

This project was completed in Info Design and Comics & Zines with Allison Dalton. The book design uses a handmade wooden cover, Neenah paper, silver o-ring binding, and red hand cut insert cards. All of the content in the book is made by me to form a narrative about items which can be grafted to gain power. This book used an interactive component in that while you read, you pick a favorite item, write why on the red card, insert it into the binding, then receive a temporary tattoo of the item.
Learning Outcomes:
From this project I learned bookbinding craft, narrative writing, authorship, experimental book interaction, low-edit or reduced design practices, and curation of content.
