Butterfly Knife Compositions
Prompt : Create a series of compositions using a 1:5 ratio grid as well as a complementary color scheme. I decided to use scans I took of a butterfly knife as my subject to fit within the 1:5 ratio grid, which I rotated. For my color scheme I utilized a gradient map to recolor the black and white scans into pick and green.
Learning Outcomes:
From this project I learned how to use the 1:5 ratio grid in an interesting was as well as make use of gradient map colorization in a way I never have.
