It's Just Art

This catalog was designed for an imaginated exhibition featuring six artists whose work uses humor, satire, and parody. It is intended for gallery visitors and audiences who may feel intimidated by contemporary art, offering a more approachable and engaging entry point. Research showed that humor can make artwork feel more accessible, helping viewers connect with ideas that might otherwise feel distant or complex.

The publication reflects this through oversized captions, bold typography, and image-driven layouts that guide the reader through the exhibition. The system balances playful moments with a clear structure, keeping the catalog organized while still feeling dynamic and unexpected. The project explores how typography and layout can shape the tone of a publication and influence how audiences experience artwork.
