Stone lilies are the only flower species able to grow using a contaminated water source. At night, they produce one of the most valuable resources - stone silk. Stone silk is a material with waterproof qualities and is very durable. During the harvest season, the stone lilies are meticulously gathered by farmers as they scour the perilous dark water. In the darkness, the farmer treads the ponds and uses a thin rope to gently tug the stone silk off from the mother plant.
