Taxi Driver Alternative Movie Poster

This project involved the design and creation of an illustration-based movie poster. It is meant to represent a chosen movie more than a traditional poster might. My poster, for Martin Scorsese's "Taxi Driver," features an illustration of Iris. In her glasses you can see a reflection of the movie's main character, Travis, and her eyes are subtly looking over him.
Learning Outcomes:
This summer, I have been lucky enough to participate in some illustration courses and I have expanded my skillset and definition of what design is. Through this project, I was able to experiment with my digital painting skills but I was also challenged to think of typography and design in a different way. This project fell at the intersection between my interests relating to typography and design, and illustration. This motivated me to push myself and create something unique.
