War in Words Poster Series

"War in Words" is a poster series inspired by three significant wars - World War I, The War in Vietnam, and the War in Iraq - and three movies made about each respective era. Each poster works to capture the theme of each quote. For example, the first poster has a somber tone because the quote is rather dark and wistful. The last has a much more dynamic composition, which matches both the words spoken and the explosion that is referred to in the quote.
Learning Outcomes:
This project was completed outside of the classroom, so I learned how to manage my time and creativity in a situation where I was the one holding myself accountable. It was freeing - but challenging - to complete an entire project solely because I wanted to, because I was so used to creating for clients, professors, etc.
