Under The Pilotis
"Under the Pilotis" is a curated exhibition and book celebrating Brasília, my hometown, and a UNESCO-protected modernist icon. I crafted the layout to mirror the city’s grid, integrating white and blue to evoke Brasília’s concrete structures and skies. I created this project to honor Brasília's rich artistic heritage and modernist design, aiming to reveal its unique collaborative history and architectural significance to a broader audience
Learning Outcomes:
I learned to transform history into a compelling visual story, honing my research and curation skills to engage the audience. Typographic and grid principles inspired by the city’s layout improved my spatial design approach. Selecting colors and materials reflective of Brasília deepened my understanding of audience-driven design. This project also enhanced my craftsmanship in typography and bookbinding, allowing me to create an immersive experience that honors the city’s modernist heritage.
