Cloudskate is a competition focused skateboarding shoe that reimagines what performance footwear looks like in the sport. With the addition of skateboarding into the Olympics comes a revolution in performance and culture and an opportunity to adress it. Done during my internship at On this project not only explores how the brand can enter the skateboarding space through performance products but also how it can expand to include skate inspired lifestyle footwear.
Learning Outcomes:
During this project I got to create a design that not only was succesfull in its form and function but fitting for On's brand while still challenging the norms and establishing themselves in this new challenging space to enter. I got to work closely with both designers and developers to end up with a functional sample made in factory, which allowed me to experience the complete product creation process.
