Omukitto is a packaging design project inspired by the emotional and cultural rituals behind cooking omurice, reimagining a ready-to-cook meal kit through the lens of Japanese comfort food and Trader Joe’s retail language. The concept preserves the core cooking experience by keeping the eggs whole and arranging the surrounding ingredients to protect them, while a structured, intuitive layout guides users through preparation. By blending cultural storytelling with functional organization, Omukitto creates a warm, nostalgic, and user-friendly meal kit experience.
