The aim was to encapsulate the controversial themes of the novel, particularly the sinful desire portrayed in the story, while utilizing the medium of letterpress to create a poster that resonates with the book’s complex tones. The design is to effectively communicate the essence of the novel while also serving as a commentary on the reasons behind its banning.
