Flowers and Bones

Flowers and Bones reimagines death as part of an ecological and emotional cycle. Set in Xochimilco’s chinampas, the project frames death education as a sensory experience—through walking, touching soil, and planting. From the Commemorative Hall to Terramation and prayer gardens, each space offers quiet lessons in return, connection, and renewal.
Learning Outcomes:
I learned to design for emotional experience—not through explanation, but through space, soil, and ritual. This project showed me how death can be taught not with words, but through movement, touch, and participation. I discovered how design can quietly guide reflection, connection, and renewal.
