Why?

I made this drawing back in my third year of Undergraduate study at UC Irvine. I created this drawing as a response to my worries and anxiousness at the time. I recall being enamored with the character, Mathilda, from the movie "Leon: The Professional." Her look and mannerisms resonated with me so much that I felt the need to create a piece inspired by her while also including my voice. Hence, the rigid shapes and bright colors.
