Desert X Booklet

It is a booklet design regarding one of the Artbound series. I chose Desert X, which is a site-specific contemporary art exhibition. Overall, I wanted to make my booklet playful and dynamic, just like massive installation arts in Desert X. I desired that my book could showcase contemporary installation art to viewers with vibrant colors opposite to the desert.
Learning Outcomes:
I had to consider how to start my book with Engawa, which is a significant first step for the viewers. Moreover, I learned how to do the create my booklet with conceptual thinking with storytelling.

Front / Spine / Back Cover I wanted to represent the desert dramatically and artistically with color and texture on the cover.

Engawa Spread 1 The engawa starts with the highway in the desert, which gives a feeling of starting the journey to the desert with my book. The engawa delivers a poetic atmosphere and appears silent vibe.
