Banned Campaign

Censorship today is not abstract. Banned highlights the importance of libraries as public resources, especially in a time when history can be easily rewritten. The visual language leans heavily on typography. The poster series uses debossing to strip away ink while keeping the text visible, reinforcing the idea that stories cannot be erased. The zine uses traditional printing methods to share a universal, evolving message.

Process:

The process blends analog and emerging technologies to reflect both history and evolution. A traditional letterpress approach grounds the work in the legacy of publishing and protest, while AI-generated templates inform the printing plates. Laser-cut type, guided by machine learning, introduces precision and experimentation.
