This project was created as the midterm assignment for the Package Design 1 course. The objective was to develop a market-ready packaging concept through user research, visual communication studies, and persona development. For this project, I designed a travel shower kit specifically for children who dislike bath time, with the goal of transforming a routine they avoid into a fun and engaging experience.

Based on research into children’s product packaging, travel-sized toiletries, and existing market competitors, I developed a concept that reframes bath time as a short, imaginative “trip.” The packaging uses playful visuals, bright colors, and interactive elements to encourage children to feel excited rather than resistant toward bathing. The design focuses on emotional engagement as well as practical usability for travel.

Learning Outcomes:

This project strengthened my skills in user-centered research, persona development, and concept-driven packaging design. I gained hands-on experience with printing, mockup construction, and three-dimensional package assembly. I carefully considered how storytelling could be integrated not only on the exterior of the box but also throughout its interior structure. Through multiple critiques and revisions, I learned how to refine a concept for market appeal and communicate its value as a sellable consumer product.
