Minteshreen

This project is part of a class unbounded book called "The Common Good." I took this opportunity to do something that is important to me and more of a personal piece since my family is from Lebanon. After visiting in 2017, I got to really see how different life is in Lebanon and the daily struggles they face. Minteshreen is a progressive social liberal party that seeks to build a modern, democratic, and secular state based on social justice, the rule of law and the respect for human rights.
Learning Outcomes:
Through this project, I learned how to use different techniques to create the image you want on the press. I also learned more about how important the order you print things is and how much thought and preparation it requires. I also learned that I really enjoy working on the press and taking my time with the whole process!

I first used the P22 blocks to create the word Minteshreen in Arabic. However I came across a problem when I was ready to print. The word was too long for the designated size we were assigned. So I had to break part of the word and lift it up. To ensure readability, I confirmed with my mom who reads Arabic that it still made sense!

At the end, we all left with our completed unbound book featuring everyone's work "For the Common Good"
