Tesla internship project - Mars Taxi

2025 TESLA EXTERIOR DESIGN INTERNSHIP PROJECT

With SpaceX planning Mars colonization in 2026, astronaut-scientists will need a reliable way to travel across the Martian surface. This project explores a Mars Taxi concept that solves two key perimeters:

1. SpaceX Starship Space Constraints – Designing a vehicle that can be efficiently packed within the Starship’s limited cargo volume.
2. Harsh Martian Conditions – Ensuring reliable performance on rough terrain, during sandstorms, and without traditional charging infrastructure.

The mission is to develop the most optimized form of transportation that satisfies these perimeters, executed in a Tesla way - grounded in simplicity and efficiency. This project reflects my “form-follows-function” design approach while embodying Tesla’s core ethos: accelerating the world’s transition to sustainable energy.
