Falling 墜落

An Zhuo, 17, who wants to get into CalArts as a painting artist, lacks confidence in her work and does not receive support from her father, Yan Zhuo. 

One day, after a call with Yan, she falls into a dream from the painting. There, she sees how much she enjoys painting and realized that Yan used to want to become an artist.

An pitches to Yan how she doesn’t want to sacrifice her dreams and wants to do what makes her happy. Will Yan accept?

This film symbolizes my own journey of overcoming the fear that kept me from telling my father that I wanted to pursue film. Confessing to my father who was strongly against it was unimaginable, but in the end, what mattered most wasn’t convincing him to let me study at ArtCenter. It was realizing the joy that came from choosing not to abandon my dreams.
