Life in the Clouds

Life in the Clouds is a publication that documents the lives of ethnic communities in Dong Van, Ha Giang, where the rugged landscape has become a defining part of their identity. The project celebrates the stories of the land and its people through a physical book that evokes the region’s atmosphere through texture, material, and layered pacing. The typographic system draws from the way local communities form their settlements in the mountains, with the stepped logic of rice terraces, built for agriculture, directly shaping the project’s typographic structure and overall layout.
