This illustration set features Qinghai’s mascots, the yak and Tibetan antelope, as central characters, with local specialties like quinoa and goji berries subtly woven into the background. Soft colors and flowing lines create a tranquil atmosphere, blending traditional and modern art styles to vividly showcase Qinghai's natural beauty and cultural richness.
Learning Outcomes:
In this project, I learned to blend cultural elements with illustration to convey a sense of place and identity. Incorporating symbols like the yak, Tibetan antelope, quinoa, and goji berries taught me the importance of visual storytelling in representing regional heritage. I also practiced balancing traditional and modern styles for a harmonious, authentic look, gaining a deeper appreciation for using art to celebrate culture.
