The Center for Land Use Interpretation (CLUI) is an organization dedicated to exploring and interpreting human land use. It focuses on research projects, art exhibitions, field studies, and maintaining a comprehensive archive. Grounded in its unique educational and academic values, CLUI seeks to enhance accessibility and humanity through a more dynamic and symbolic visual language.
Learning Outcomes:
The incorporation of latitude and longitude symbols into the identity underscores CLUI’s strong connection to geography. The primary visual language is inspired by the rhythmic lines found on geodetic rulers. Reflecting CLUI’s nonprofit nature, pastel tones reminiscent of office stationery were selected as a strategic visual approach. The use of affordable wood materials for wayfinding signage, emphasizing both functionality and sustainability.
