While many typefaces focus solely on function, this project integrates both practicality and subtle expression. Inspired by Bell Centennial, it refines ink traps with intentional weight transitions, creating a compact, highly legible typeface ideal for dense text while maintaining a modern, refined aesthetic.
Learning Outcomes:
This project deepened my understanding of type design as both an art and a technical craft. I honed my ability to balance function and form, refining structural details that impact readability and visual rhythm. Through iterative testing and development, I gained insight into how typefaces shape communication, reinforcing my approach to typography as a core element of graphic design.
