Language : Spectrum

What is the essence of language? How does the transformation of the language we use influence our cognition and behavior? Language: Spectrum delves into the profound and nuanced effects of language embedded within the fabric of daily life and culture. Organized into chapters spanning from Departure to Arrival, the book invites readers on an intellectual journey to critically examine and reflect on the conceptual significance and multifaceted role of language. 

Learning Outcomes:

It was both challenging and fascinating to create my own visuals from text alone, without any visual references to begin with. I started from a key word or phrase that defined each chapter and developed the visuals  metaphorically from there. In the process of arranging seemingly fragmented ideas into a coherent flow and building a design system that  unites them into one complete book, I came to understand the value of sequencing, curation, and the art of  translating complexity into clarity through visual language.
