Gun Safety and Violence Prevention Infographic

This project required me to design one spread for a collective newsprint publication about Gun Safety. The topic I chose was proper gun storage. After my research, I chose to use a series of sad statistics about accidents that occur each year in the U.S. caused by improperly stored firearms in conjunction with the Twitter hashtag #NotAnAccident about gun storage to emphasize to the audience the importance of proper gun storage.
Learning Outcomes:
Initially, I wanted to put a lot of data and text on this one page to tell the reader the importance of proper gun storage, but after comparing the drafts I felt that a visual chart would make the viewer want to read it and convey the message more efficiently. Since I found a popular hashtag on Twitter about the importance of proper gun storage during my research, I combined it with the Twitter page to make the layout more interesting.
