Scent Chords

The project ideally introduces an innovative experience—a lab called Scent Chords, located within the Contemporary Craft Center. This space is dedicated to exploring scent and sound, aiming to create a multi-sensory experience for visitors to learn about the craft—inspired by the 19th-century chemist and perfumer Septimus Piesse, who made the ‘Odophone,’ a literal scale of smells corresponding to different pitches in Western musical notation.
