You are a part of our history.
For more than 90 years, ArtCenter has prepared artists and designers to make a positive impact both in their chosen fields and the world at large. In 1930, The Art Center School, as it was then called, opened under the direction of its co-founder, advertising man Edward A. "Tink" Adams. In the 1950s, the College played a seminal role in the founding of the first advanced-concept design studio. In the 1980s, we were the first design school to install computer labs, spearheading the revolution in digital design. And in 2003, we became the first design school to receive Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) status from both the United Nations Department of Public Information and the United Nations Population Fund.
You are also part of our future.
Looking forward, ArtCenter is fulfilling its educational mission through exciting transformations of its buildings at both its Hillside and South Campuses, an expansion of its offerings for degree and non-degree students alike, and the continued development of student amenities designed to foster personal and professional growth. But no matter how the College evolves, you will have helped us get there. Which is why we want you to be a part of our collective future. From serving as a mentor to students, conducting portfolio reviews and keeping us in the loop of your latest accomplishments, to providing us with corporate connections, securing sponsorships and funding student scholarships, there are countless ways to stay involved. And you're in good company: Approximately 25,000 ArtCenter alumni are spread throughout the world. As a member of the ArtCenter community, you are now part of a vibrant global network that will follow you no matter where life takes you.
Creating opportunities for the most deserving art and design students, regardless of economic background, is a top College priority. In addition to federal and state financial aid and institutional scholarship support, the College awards nearly 200 donor-funded scholarships. ArtCenter gratefully acknowledges the alumni, corporations, foundations, parents and friends whose generosity funds these endowed and annual scholarships that are helping to make an ArtCenter education possible for our talented students.
The following list represents those donor-funded scholarships that have received new or renewed funding in the last two fiscal years.
An Honor Roll listing of all of our annual donors is available on the ArtCenter website, where you may also access information about a variety of giving options.
If you would like to establish a named scholarship or have any other questions, please contact Natalie Farrow at 626 396-2435 or natalie.farrow@artcenter.edu.
