Trace

Trace is a high-altitude smartwatch that replaces phone use during snow sports. It presents essentials such as GPS, resort maps, live stats and safety alerts through a clear, glove-friendly interface built for cold, movement and glare.

Process:

Trace began by identifying how phones fail in cold, fast, high-contrast environments. The design distilled navigation, mapping, performance tracking and safety functions into a durable wrist system with bold visuals and tactile controls tested for snow glare, motion and freeze–thaw stress.
