The Waiting Game

Mock-up editorial work created for a fictional article titled "The Waiting Game." The article is about how hospital waiting rooms negatively effect the mental health of the patients waiting in them. One magazine cover, and one double spread illustration.

Process:

Phase 1: Brainstormed a list of key themes that would be a part of the project, along with rough sketches to establish the content of the drawings.

Phase 2: Created rough concept driven thumbnails.

Phase 3: Refined the thumbnails into a couple polished options.

Phase 4: Did the layout drawing as well as a value study.

Phase 5: Added color and detail.
