Growing Up with Social Media

For this project, we were given a different topics to connect to a central topic of Plastic by Roland Barthes, which we discussed in class on his perspective of plastic and the nature of plastic in general. From brainstorming between Plastic and my topic of Woody Guthrie, I narrowed my topic down to influences towards identity development -- especially social media.
Learning Outcomes:
I learned how to research and make connections from what may be two topics that do not have much in common with each other, as well as sequence design.

Research: During this phase, I was focused on the general influences on identity -- trying to work out a sequence design with a more vague topic was difficult and helped me to narrow down to how social media can affect identity development.
