About
Doris Yu is an interdisciplinary designer working across graphic design, narrative storytelling, media, and spatial experience design. With a foundation in visual design and human-centered research, Doris integrates spatial mindset with digital media to design immersive environments. She is particularly interested in how people interact with designed experiences, and how daily rituals and emotions can be expressed through space.
Outside of design, Doris is a passionate traveler and a curious explorer. She loves documenting life through sketching, photography, and video, and continually finds inspiration through each journey. These practices deepen her sensitivity to daily rituals, emotions, personal narratives, and the subtle traces people leave behind.
With experience studying abroad and working across different cultural contexts, Doris has a strong ability to communicate and collaborate with people from diverse backgrounds. She is fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese, with conversational proficiency in Japanese, and values cross-cultural exchange as an essential part of her design process. She is always open to collaborations, freelance opportunities, and interdisciplinary conversations.
