NOVA

A compact epinephrine auto-injector that simplifies emergency response and anxiety, with a sustainable two-material build and reuse system.

Process:

Nova started from a simple yet urgent question: why does carrying life-saving medication still feel bulky, stigmatized, or forgettable? We mapped user behaviors, broke down manufacturing constraints, and explored material reduction strategies. Through hands-on mockups and failure testing, we developed a two-material, return-for-reuse system that feels calm in the hand but ready in emergencies. From early insights to full-scale models, every step focused on emotional clarity, sustainability, and reducing hesitation; because design should never get in the way of saving a life.
