Food Waste Is A Monster
This was a recycling bin that I fabricated as a commissioned artist for Coachella Music and Arts Festival in Indio, CA.
Process:
I cut up, hand shaved and shaped pieces of styrofoam and glued them to a sanded recycling bin, slowly building up the form piece by piece until it was filled out. The inside of the bin remiained hallow and still had the functionality of a recycling bin all while still rolling and the lid having the ability to open.
Learning Outcomes:
This was a huge turning point in project making and fabrication for me. It really sealed for me that i wanted to keep going into sculpture as a career and opened up my posibilities to different materials
