Art Bound

This identity project is part of my rebranding for the documentary series Art Bound, inspired by the episode Modern Masters, which profiles five artists who emerged from WWII Japanese internment camps to shape modern art. Their resilience informed a visual identity honoring their legacy, including a redesigned series logo, book, and posters spotlighting the episode.
Learning Outcomes:
Through this project, I gained a deeper understanding of Isamu Noguchi, S. Neil Fujita, George Nakashima, Gyo Obata, and Ruth Asawa—five artists who emerged from WWII Japanese internment camps and influenced modern art. I also expanded the project into a hand-built three-fold shoji screen for a hypothetical installation exhibit, refining my skills in culturally sensitive design, historical research, and brand storytelling through print and identity systems.
